This vintage Arabic oud was handcrafted in Damascus, Syria, by the renowned Syrian oud maker Mahmoud Safi in 1957.

The instrument is 100% authentic except for the big rosette.

It features a walnut and apricot wood bowl and an aged spruce soundboard.

The small rosettes and the front of the neck are made of bone.

This oud produces a warm and deep vintage Syrian tone.

Mahmoud Safi’s ouds were highly respected, and the famous composer Baligh Hamdi played his instruments on several occasions.
